Just saw it on IMAX 3D. The most anticipated movie I have been waiting for and it did not disappoint. I love those kind of movies where it leaves you with the biggest grin ever. You guys have to watch it on IMAX, the whole film is just absolutely beautiful! Great acting from Jeff Bridges playing both the bad guy and the good guy, and I just found out he was that bald dude from Iron Man! Throughout the whole film, he stood out the most and overshadowed most of the characters that had faces.
Jeff Bridges' characters really overshadowed a lot of characters throughout the film, especially with Sam. I didn't really give much care or thought about Sam or Quorra, all I wanted to see was the struggle and story between Clu and Flynn. He probably got the spotlight because he was in the first movie, but this is coming from a person who never saw the first film. I've heard of Tron as a cult culture thing, but never dove deep into the story of it until now. So I'm experiencing something new here and I really enjoyed this film.
I think the biggest star of this film were the visual effects, the environment, and the music. Absolutely stunning.Probably my favorite scenes were the game and fight scenes. I don't want to spoil too much, you guys have to see it for yourself.

Everyone sure looked awesome and fit in their deliciously tight clothings lol.
Also was it just me, or was there some tension between Clu and Flynn?
I could see it. Fanarts and fanfictions as far as the eye can see haha.

It was certainly a fun movie. The CG was beautiful, and Jeff Bridges was great. The only real problem I have is that I don't believe the "world rules" of Tron have ever been firmly fleshed out, and a lot of this movie seemed to clash with what was seen in the first movie. But that's just silly nerd ramblings, it was a fun ride. :)

If there are three reasons I want to watch that movie, it would have to be:

Jeff Bridges, visual interest and Daft Punk

Throughout watching several trailers, I could not help but feel a little disappointed how bland the main character came across as. And all those 'chicks' that had been slapped around that didn't entirely seem to serve a purpose save for eye candy and doing sexy-finger-pointy-laser-stripping or what have you? Eh. Like you, I've not seen the first film, so I can't say I know what to expect.

Hearing that you've enjoyed it, though, really gives me a boost to go see it. I'm chuffed to hear that Jeff Bridges gets a lot of focus in the film - we all know old guy characters are the coolest.

Better be seein' some awesome fanart from you haw haw ;Y (UGH it's so good to have you back, btw <3)

I too thought the main character, Sam, was bland. I felt that he was there just for the plot, but the ones who really drove it were the other characters. He didn't feel like the true protagonist in my opinion.

I saw the first film and I noticed a few things they referenced it from in the new film. I was like, "oohh that explains it"

Anyways, I definitely know that you will enjoy Tron legacy and I hope to see fanarts from you too.

I just got back from seeing this movie; I went expecting an enjoyable popcorn movie, but right now I'm just bouncing off the walls with how much I loved it. The CGI was fantastic; it could have been about nothing and I would have loved just looking at it.

I thought Tron was good, I just wish that the CGI was as good as the original

Any movie with The Dude is automatically epic in my book

I saw it, it was fantastic.

I saw the original movie when I was younger and I really liked it, even though when I was 6 the original tron was considered old. Ahahah.

You are so lucky! I wasn't able to see it yet because of all the rain, which is keeping me from traveling at all. :(
Glad to hear is was great. I'll definitely watch it in IMAX. Probably on Christmas, since nobody will be around on that day.

XD I actually thought that this movie rivals Avatar as far as art and story goes. I understand that Avatar was possibly more expensive/difficult to create but Tron had just as much individuality and beauty to me. To tell the truth I like Tron more because the plot was a bit more original.
