Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel.  Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind).  So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me?  Pantser?  I think?  But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid.  And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly.  And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Most video rental stores in America have gone extinct and outside specific Red Box Kiosks there aren't a lot of places for consumers to rent video games. The exception, of course, being thr

IRON MAN!! OMgWTF

The best comic-based movie I have ever seen!! OMG!!! LOVEd it so much! Possibly the best out of all the MArvel movies I've seen (haven't seen any recent DC movies)! If you guys haven't seen it, it's recommended that you must see it!!!  YOU HAVE TOO! Freakin Awesome!! OMGOMGOMG!!

Okay, I'm not really a comic-nerd, but I read a few (I believe this movie just turned me into one). Though I've heard of Iron Man as one those original marvel superheroes, I've really never known anything other than that he's a superhero, that's it. But I watched this movie, I just spazzed out and I had to know What this guy was about! God, the guy who directed this awesome movie is FTW! And the casting, in my opinion was absolutely perfect. Robert Downey Jr. was a perfect choice for Tony Stark. He was a Lovable jerk, and it's really hard to hate the bastard, because he was just so awesome! I especially loved the part where he was building Iron Man, such great cg work, and it makes you think. Can such technology could exceed so far?  It's Freaking Great man, WATCH THE MOVIE!

One (little) thing I really enjoyed about it was that they didn't give the viewer an over-ample amount of time to put together based on the name of that organization as "SHIELD"

and also the great taste of not playing Black Sabbath until the credits.

a big problem with recent comic book related movies is that they wanted to appeal more to the audience's ability recognize things from the comics than to actually make a good movie, which has changed recently in Batman Begins and now Iron Man. Need more movies like this
